Dyer MD is proud to provide the latest advancements in robotic assisted, minimally invasive bariatric surgery. Bariatric surgery is about more than just weight loss. Obesity has many complications, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, emotional and social hardships, and more. These complications can hold you back from life. Dyer MD is here to help on your journey to better quality of life. Our team performs Gastric Bypass [Roux en Y] and Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy at the TriStar Centennial Center for Weight Management.

Gastric Bypass [Roux en Y]

Gastric bypass surgery reduces the size of your stomach by dividing it. Shrinking the size of the stomach changes the way the body absorbs and digests food, as some food bypasses the stomach and small intestine. This change means you absorb less calories from food and need less food to feel full. Learn more.

Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy

During vertical sleeve gastrectomy, several ounces of the stomach are removed. This minimally invasive surgery aids weight loss by reducing the amount of food you can consume, Additionally, the minimally invasive surgery changes your body’s hormones, which helps decrease your appetite after surgery. In addition to insurance, we also offer self-pay options.

Though weight loss surgery can increase a person’s life expectancy by up to 89%, many insurance policies still do not cover weight loss surgery. Even if your insurance covers the surgery, the ensuing claims process is often long and rigorous. Thankfully, there are other options available.

We offer affordable self-pay rates along with our expedited surgery program. This means a patient could have their surgery in as little as 3-4 weeks of making the decision.

Our weight loss surgery packages include:

  • Pre-operative testing, such as radiology and blood analysis
  • Hospital, surgeon, and anesthesia fees
  • BLISCare complication coverage for surgery-related complications within 90 days of the procedure ($1500 value)

To qualify for our Expedited Surgery Self-Pay Program:

  • BMI higher than or equal to 30 with our without obesity related health conditions
  • Non-smoker or willing to quit smoking before surgery
  • Age 16+
  • Do not have bariatric surgery coverage or do not wish to move forward with insurance coverage for your surgery.

If you’d like more information or are ready to move forward with our Expedited Surgery Self-Pay Program, please contact us at 615.342.5830.

Dr. David Dyer and Team Gave Me My Life Back!

I had two strokes in 2008 at age 29 that left me bedridden for 12 years. Getting Gastric Bypass at age 41 after gaining to 330lbs, helped me to become more healthy, happy, and active. I went from being bedridden to losing 175lbs and now I'm a size 8 from a 28, walking miles at a time, and a business owner of a Real Estate Photography Company! My body and mind chemistry has changed so much that now I'm not allergic to fish, metals, or nuts! This has been a fantastic journey! All of this is due to Dr. Dyer, Team, and my hard work!

Thank You Dr. Dyer!
-Andrea D.

Before my gastric sleeve surgery, I was a morbidly obese man with diabetes, sleep apnea, low energy, high cholesterol and triglycerides. Dr. Dyer and his staff were supportive and informative throughout the process of deciding to have surgery as well as during and now after surgery. I felt completely confident in my decision when I went in for surgery having had all my questions answered. They prepared me well for what to expect and have always been available to answer any questions or concerns I have had.

Since the surgery, I am excited to say my diabetes has completely gone away and my sleep apnea machine has been boxed up! I have tons of energy and my wife is excited to have her old husband back! I am walking 5 miles a day and getting stronger with every mile! Thank you Dr. Dyer and staff for giving me my life back!

Before my surgery I had tried many different diet plans without success. Besides being very overweight, at age 60, I had daily reflux. I was worried about taking such a drastic step of surgery but Dr. Dyer put my mind at ease explaining everything in detail. He recommended bypass due to my chronic reflux and reassured me that I would do fine. I'm 11 months post-op, and doing great, and haven't had reflux since surgery. My entire experience from start to finish was great. His excellent staff is always available to answer any questions that I might have. I would recommend Dr. Dyer to anyone considering this option for weight loss.
